Department of Biology
The WVU Department of Biology's graduate program develops students' abilities to think critically and analytically, to be creative and to excel at communicating their ideas to others. Our faculty conduct cutting-edge research in a number of areas and students in the department can expect to work at the forefront of their field.
The Department offers M.S. and Ph.D. degree in Biology.
Students from the M.S. in biology program consistently become leaders in their field with new discoveries and innovations. In many professions, the master's degree is now the minimum requirement for employment or advancement. Many students have used our M.S. in biology to launch to careers in research and the health professions.

The University of Connecticut offers a 12-credit (4-course) online graduate certificate in environmental sustainability. Course credits can be applied towards the Master of Energy & Environmental Management.
