The Department of Forest and Rangeland Stewardship offers M.S. and Ph.D. in Rangeland Ecosystem Science programs.
The rangeland ecosystem science program emphasizes interdisciplinary study of, and research on, the world’s rangelands. You’ll develop a thorough knowledge of the structure, function, and management of rangeland ecosystems. The rangeland program provides high quality education in rangeland ecology and related disciplines; develops knowledge through scholarly endeavors; and disseminates information to the profession, the public and the community through service and outreach.
In the rangeland ecosystem science program, you’ll investigate soil-plant relations, restoration ecology, riparian ecology and management, grazing and/or weed management, or community based natural resource management. Develop a program of study with your advisor and graduate committee that is tailored to your background, research focus, future goals, and interests.
