The graduate certificate in sustainable development considers the feasibility of, and best practices for: rationalizing urbanization to ensuring people’s economic well-being; addressing environmental quality and reliance on non-renewable resources; and encouraging social inclusion and equitable growth.
Students taking Philosophical-Policy and Environmental Legal Design or Socio-cultural Foundations of Environmental Policy and three additional approved courses on globalization and development, economic development, or social entrepreneurship, are eligible to receive the certificate.
