Description

The Interdisciplinary Ecology, Evolution and Conservation Biology Ph.D. program provides the opportunity to tailor your graduate education to your interests. You will have a team of mentors to guide you through your scientific endeavors and provide you with a solid foundation in research methods and experimental design. The Ecology, Evolution and Conservation Biology Ph.D. is an interdisciplinary program bringing together faculty and students from multiple departments at the University of Nevada, Reno, as well as from the Desert Research Institute and the Great Basin Institute. It is designed to prepare graduates for high-level careers as scientists and researchers. These may include positions within public agencies, such as government land bureaus; with private organizations, such as social advocacy groups; or even in academia.
