The Ph.D. degree program in the School of the Environment is an extension of the Master's degree program that will prepare scientists to address environmental issues through innovative and applied research. Degree requirements ensure that all Ph.D. candidates develop independent and critical thinking skills, have a broad knowledge-base of environmental science, and have an in-depth knowledge of their specialized area of study. This program utilizes graduate courses offered in other departments in the university that are complimentary to the program, as necessary.
