Description

The Department offers the Ph.D. degree in Earth Systems Science with several majors in Geosciences or Natural Resource Science and Management. Much of faculty and student research in both majors is based in South Florida, the Caribbean region, and Latin America.

The Earth and Environment Department offers a number of graduate teaching and research assistantships which are awarded on a competitive basis. Teaching assistantships begin only in the fall semester. The assistantships provide a stipend and waiver of tuition.
